AVVIO Er:YAG Laser 2940nm · WON Technology (원테크놀로지)
AVVIO
Used for uneven surface concerns such as depressed acne scars, enlarged pores, and thickened dead skin. The 2940nm wavelength is absorbed in the shallow layers, finely ablating the stratum corneum without leaving residual heat, and fractional channels induce regeneration to help with improvement.
How It Works
How This Equipment Works
AVVIO is an erbium-YAG (Er:YAG) laser with a 2940nm wavelength. This wavelength has a very high absorption rate in water, so its energy is consumed in the shallow layers the moment it reaches water-rich skin tissue.
As a result, the stratum corneum and epidermis of the treated area are cleared thinly, as if evaporating, and with little residual heat spreading to the surroundings, precise resurfacing is possible with a reduced thermal burden.
With the fractional handpiece, dense microchannels are created in the skin to induce a collagen regeneration response in the dermis, which is used to address depressed acne scars and enlarged pores.
Depending on the lesion, a micro-peeling mode or fractional mode can be selected, and pulse width and depth can be adjusted, allowing the intensity to be scaled from light exfoliation to scar-regeneration purposes.
Effects
Expected Effects
- Helps improve depressed acne scars and skin unevenness
- Helps improve enlarged pores and rough skin texture
- Helps improve a thickened stratum corneum and dull skin tone
- Helps improve closed comedones caused by keratin buildup
- Helps improve fine lines around the eyes and reduced elasticity
- Helps improve small raised lesions such as milia
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the treatment take?
For the full face, laser irradiation takes about 15–30 minutes; treating only localized scars finishes sooner. An additional 30–40 minutes is needed beforehand for the numbing cream to take effect.
Does it hurt? Is anesthesia used?
Since the procedure finely ablates the skin surface, applying numbing cream beforehand is standard. After anesthesia you feel stinging and burning sensations, which are stronger in scar-treatment areas treated at higher intensity.
What about recovery and returning to daily life?
At micro-peeling intensity, you can wash your face and wear light makeup the same day, and redness settles over a few days. When treated deeply for scars, fine scabs and flaking appear for about 2–7 days, so apply repair cream, moisturize, protect against the sun thoroughly, and avoid saunas and hot baths for a week.
How many sessions, and at what interval?
Considering the skin's regeneration period, treatment is usually done 3–5 times at 4-week intervals. The deeper and wider the scars, the more the sessions are divided, raising the intensity step by step.
Which treatments pair well with it?
When inflammation is active, the usual sequence is to first calm the acne with Agnes, NEOBEAM, or Gold PTT, then proceed at the scar stage. If red marks or pigmentation remain afterwards, it is planned in combination with laser toning and regenerative care.
