Gold nanoparticles are delivered into the follicles and sebaceous glands, then activated by laser so heat gathers only at those points, which helps improve inflammation while reducing the burden on normal tissue.

How This Equipment Works
Gold PTT begins by applying a light-absorbing agent containing gold nanoparticles to the skin, then driving the particles along the pores into the follicles and sebaceous glands.
When the laser is then applied, the gold particles strongly absorb the light and release heat to their surroundings. Because the heat is concentrated only around the sebaceous glands where the particles have gathered, it works by lowering sebaceous gland function while reducing the burden on normal tissue.
The same thermal reaction turns the inside of the follicle into an environment where acne bacteria have difficulty multiplying, addressing inflammatory lesions as well.
Unlike conventional photodynamic therapy (PDT) using photosensitizers, it has the advantage of requiring less prolonged light avoidance after treatment.

How long does the treatment take?
Because time is needed for applying and absorbing the light-absorbing agent, the whole process takes about 40–60 minutes. Of this, laser irradiation takes about 15–20 minutes for the full face.
Does it hurt? Is anesthesia used?
You feel a stinging, warm heat as the laser passes, and numbing cream is applied beforehand in most cases. Areas with severe inflammation may feel more sensitive, so they are treated with the intensity divided into steps.
What about recovery and returning to daily life?
Redness and warmth right after the procedure usually subside within a few hours, and mild swelling settles in 1–2 days. Avoid saunas and strenuous exercise on the day, and with attention to moisturizing and sun protection, the return to daily life is quick.
How many sessions, and at what interval?
A course of 3–5 sessions at 2–4 week intervals is typical, and changes in sebum production and inflammation are usually seen from the 2nd or 3rd session. After completing the course, maintenance intervals are extended according to your condition.
Which treatments pair well with it?
Performing extraction and scaling before or after the procedure clears clogged pores, which helps the light-absorbing agent penetrate and the treatment finish well.
