Rejuran HB
Used for skin that feels tight, parched, and rough in texture, with shallow fine lines. Polynucleotides induce collagen production while the hyaluronic acid included holds onto moisture, helping improve skin texture and inner dryness.
How It Works
How This Equipment Works
Rejuran HB is a combination formulation in Pharma Research's PN (polynucleotide) line that also incorporates hyaluronic acid (HA). PN purified from salmon DNA handles regeneration, while HA holds onto moisture.
With HA added, the viscosity of the formulation is moderated, reducing discomfort during injection and adding hydration to the skin immediately after treatment. A separate formulation, Rejuran HB Plus, adds lidocaine to lower pain.
The treatment involves injecting small amounts into the upper and mid dermis across the whole face at intervals of 0.5 to 1cm.
The injected PN stimulates fibroblasts to induce the production of collagen and extracellular matrix (ECM), while HA retains moisture in the dermis. These two overlapping actions help improve skin texture and inner tightness.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the procedure take?
Since the whole face is injected at 0.5-to-1cm intervals, it takes about 20 to 30 minutes. Extending the area to the forehead and neck takes slightly longer. Allow an additional 30 minutes or so for the numbing cream to take effect.
Is it painful? How is anesthesia handled?
With HA included and a lower viscosity, injection is generally more comfortable than with PN-only formulations. Numbing cream is applied before the procedure, and the lidocaine-containing HB Plus formulation is reported to involve less injection pain.
When can I return to daily life?
Wheals and slight redness at the injection sites remain for about 1 to 3 days. Most people can resume daily activities on the day of treatment or the next day, and makeup is recommended from the following day. It is best to avoid saunas, alcohol, and strenuous exercise on the day of treatment.
How many sessions, and at what interval?
A standard course is 3 to 4 sessions at 2-to-4-week intervals. Since collagen takes several weeks to build, changes are assessed after completing the course. Maintenance sessions at 3-to-6-month intervals are then recommended.
Can it be combined with other procedures?
It is often combined, with appropriate spacing, with botulinum toxin, laser toning, and lifting device treatments. Pairing it with pigment or redness treatments helps improve skin tone. The order and spacing of combined treatments are decided through consultation.
