The 532nm laser is intensively absorbed by melanin to break down the pigment, and a technology that constricts the surrounding blood vessels before irradiation lowers the likelihood of post-treatment hyperpigmentation.

How This Equipment Works
The REEPOT laser is a pigment treatment device combining a 532nm Nd:YAG laser with VSLS (vessel-sparing) technology. The 532nm wavelength is well absorbed by melanin, making it suitable for targeting dark pigmented lesions in the epidermis.
High energy is concentrated on the pigment to finely break down the melanin particles, and as the fragmented pigment is cleared, the lesion gradually fades.
VSLS is a technology that temporarily constricts the blood vessels around the lesion just before irradiation. By reducing vascular damage, it contributes to lowering the likelihood of post-treatment redness and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH).
A super-cooling system (CPTL) uses contact cooling to keep the surface temperature constant throughout the procedure, protecting the epidermis and reducing irritation. The device is approved by the Korean MFDS and the U.S. FDA.

How long does the treatment take?
It takes about 10–30 minutes depending on the number and extent of lesions. If numbing cream is applied, 20–30 minutes of absorption time is added.
Does it hurt? Is anesthesia used?
There is a stinging sensation and momentary heat during irradiation. Contact cooling operates at the same time, and for large or dark lesions, numbing cream is applied before starting.
What about recovery and returning to daily life?
A thin scab forms on the treated area and usually falls off naturally within 7–10 days. During this period, protect the area with healing tape or ointment and do not pick at the scab; afterwards, consistent sun protection for 2–3 months is important.
How many sessions and how often?
Surface lentigines and age spots are often finished in a single session. If the pigment is deep or widely distributed, additional treatment is planned at intervals of 4 weeks or more after the skin has healed.
Can it be combined with other treatments?
Other lasers are not applied to the same area while the scab remains. Once healed, remaining pigment or uneven tone is addressed with laser toning and brightening care.
