Rejuran S and Rejuran I are injectable skin boosters from Pharma Research whose main ingredient is polynucleotide (PN) extracted and purified from salmon germ cells. Both products come in 1mL units with a PN concentration of around 20mg/mL.
Rejuran S is formulated with a high viscosity so that it stays in place at the injection site without spreading. It is therefore used intensively on depressed, localized areas such as acne scars.
Rejuran I, by contrast, is a thin, low-viscosity formulation. It is a product designed specifically for the eye area, reducing the risk of lumpiness when injected into the thin skin around and under the eyes.
The injection layer is the dermis, at a depth of about 1.5–2.5mm. PN stimulates fibroblasts to promote the production of collagen and other components of the extracellular matrix (ECM), helping improve the regenerative environment of the damaged dermis.

How long does the procedure take?
It takes about 20 to 30 minutes depending on the treated area and volume. Since Rejuran S is injected only into scar areas and Rejuran I only around the eyes, it is quicker than a full-face treatment. Allow an additional 30 minutes or so for the numbing cream to take effect.
Is it painful? How is anesthesia handled?
Because PN is a viscous formulation, a dull, pressing sensation accompanies the injection. Numbing cream is applied for about 30 minutes beforehand to reduce pain. For the eye area, the low-viscosity Rejuran I and a fine needle are used to minimize irritation.
When can I return to daily life?
The injection marks (wheals) are visible for about 2 to 3 days and usually subside within 4 to 7 days. Redness or slight bruising generally resolves within a week. Face washing and light makeup are possible from the day after treatment.
How many sessions, and at what interval?
One cycle consists of 3 to 4 sessions at 2-to-4-week intervals. For scars, completing the full course is recommended since tissue takes time to fill in; for the eye area, maintenance sessions at 3-to-6-month intervals are advised after the initial course.
Can it be combined with other procedures?
It can be combined, with appropriate spacing, with regenerative treatments such as laser toning and fractional laser. For deeply depressed scars, planning treatments such as subcision alongside can be helpful. The combination and order are decided after assessing your skin condition.
