Doublo · Hironic (하이로닉)
Doublo
Used for concerns of reduced deep-layer elasticity, such as facial sagging, lax cheeks, and a blurred jawline. Focused ultrasound converges at the fascial layer 3 to 4.5mm deep, creating an immediate tightening, and the collagen regeneration that follows over several months helps improve lifting.
How It Works
How This Equipment Works
Doublo is a lifting device based on high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU), and was the first Korean device to apply HIFU to aesthetic dermatology.
Ultrasound generated by the transducer passes through the skin surface and converges on the fascial layer (SMAS) at a depth of 3 to 4.5mm. The thermal energy created at the focal point instantaneously coagulates tissue to produce an immediate tightening, and the collagen regeneration response that follows helps improve elasticity.
Outside the focal point, the energy disperses as it passes through, so the device acts only on the deep layers without any incision in the epidermis.
After the thermal stimulus, collagen and elastin continue to regenerate over 3 to 6 months, so the changes settle in over time rather than appearing all at once.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the procedure take?
It takes about 30 minutes to 1 hour for the full face. The time varies with the treatment area and the number of lines delivered, and numbing cream application time is separate.
Does it hurt? Is anesthesia used?
There is a momentary dull or prickling sensation as energy converges at the focal point. Numbing cream is applied before the procedure, and how it feels varies with the treatment depth and area.
What about recovery and returning to daily life?
You can wash your face and wear makeup the same day, and return immediately to daily activities. Mild redness or a pressed-in sensation may remain for a few days.
How many sessions, and how often?
A single session is the standard plan, with collagen regeneration continuing over 3 to 6 months. The maintenance interval is decided at consultation after assessing your skin condition.
Can it be combined with other procedures?
It is often combined with radiofrequency lifting, fillers, and botulinum toxin, with the roles divided between them. The order and spacing of combined treatments are decided after consultation.
