General Filler Care Instructions
This page summarizes the instructions given during your visit. Please refer to it during your recovery after treatment.
- 1.Mild pain and swelling may occur for about 3 days after the procedure.
- 2.This varies by individual; if the pain is severe, you may take a pain reliever such as Tylenol.
- 3.Please take the medication prescribed after your procedure as directed, and let us know in advance if you have an antibiotic allergy.
- 4.Possible post-treatment reactions include bruising, bleeding, infection, delayed allergic reaction, granuloma, blindness, and skin necrosis.
- Swelling gradually subsides within 3–7 days, and bruising improves after 1–2 weeks.
- In areas where muscles are used frequently, some flattening of the filler may occur after treatment.
- Feeling a round lump at the treated area, unevenness caused by swelling, or slight protrusion with certain facial expressions are all normal findings.
- A delayed allergic reaction refers to swelling at the treated area after filler, which can occur months or even years later when your general condition is poor.It is reported in roughly 1 in 100 cases with Korean-made fillers and roughly 1 in 10,000 cases with imported fillers.
- 5.If the shape becomes uneven due to external impact, please visit the clinic.
- 6.You may wash your face and apply makeup 3 hours after the procedure.
- 7.For one week, please avoid smoking, alcohol, saunas, hot baths, swimming, and strenuous exercise.
- 8.Avoid any strong impact or pressure on the treated area for 1–2 weeks.
- 9.Filler remains moldable for about 2 weeks after treatment, so avoid touching the area as much as possible until it settles.(Touching can cause bacterial infection; if infected, the filler may need to be completely removed along with antibiotic treatment.)
- 10.If you suspect any abnormal symptoms at all, please contact the clinic immediately and come in for a visit.
- If bruising at the treated area keeps progressing, or pustules or blisters develop, visiting the clinic right away for treatment can resolve the issue.
- A dull, tight sensation after filler treatment may last from 1 week to 1 month. If symptoms worsen, please visit the clinic.
- If redness, severe pain, or a feeling of heat does not subside within 2–3 days after the procedure, please come in right away.
