Aftercare Following Mole Removal

- 1.After mole removal, the skin needs time to regenerate, which usually takes 1~2 weeks.
- 2.It is important to keep the healing tape on the treated area for at least 7~10 days.
- 3.If you were prescribed an ointment, replace the healing tape once a day and apply the ointment each time.
- 4.With the tape in place, gentle face washing and makeup are fine.
- 5.If the tape becomes dirty, or swells up white and the fluid inside leaks out, replace it with a new one.
- 6.As for how often to change the tape, 1~2 times a day at first and once every 2 days later on is appropriate.
- 7.Red marks or pigmentation after the procedure usually fade within 3~4 weeks, but may last longer depending on your skin type and the depth of treatment.
- 8.If the area under the healing tape becomes red, oozes, or itches, it could be an allergy or infection — it is best to remove the tape and contact the clinic.(Such side effects are quite rare.)
